Elliðaárdalur is a place for peace and comfort. A place where there is no judgement and no responsibility´s. It is a get away. A get away so you can heal in peace. I believe that people visit Elliðaárdalur to get away from their problem and to leave the city noise behind. To walk along the path to explore the nature and feel the fresh air on your face.
When I visited Elliðaárdalur, I obviously noticed the nature and river and how all the sounds came together. It´s a nice place. But the thing that I found interesting was the people. The people that were in Elliðaárdalur and what they were doing. People were taking a walk, running, cycling and just enjoying the nature.
Elliðaárdalur is very welcoming. People become equal. No one is better than the other one. When people are together at Elliðaárdalur they become a community. We may not talk to each other but we understand one another. By just saying “good morning” is more than enough.
