Elliðaárdalur has been felt like a «parenthesis» in the globalization context which surrounds the site. A world where traffic, noise and pollution are omnipresent. This contrast, especially at the border, between a protected nature and a «world of cars» is perceived as something very violent and uncomfortable. This abstract model tries to represent this feeling of two different environments: the preserved nature which seems like a shelter and the overbuilt world which may be hostile for a passerby.
